A common trait amongst many people is to paint the enemy as these evil doers, horrid humans, but often it is false. As far as Atheists and sceptics it is false to judge all by whichever troll you've been messed around by online. Equally, one must not jump to conclusions. The position of many is to build on ignorance, which is a poor foundation to say the least. From a position of ignorance and a belief in knowledge, the arrogant form serious opinions, and the validity of which will be, by definition, in error.
In my experience, although it is amusing to me, I have witnessed many nonsensical claims. Some were trolling, but many are so messed up that they believe in these irrational points. These range from claims of a political alignment, such as saying all Atheists are big government supporters, even though many are libertarian. Or that all atheists are liberal, some really really are not liberal. Some believe that Atheists are communists or fascists or Nazis, etc. No proof that all are, nor that most are, nor that you, personally, agree with those ideologies.
Some claims are that we Atheists want to ban religion, that we want atheist governments, that churches will be destroyed and bibles burnt. Of the sum of western Atheists, a small proportion may want to do that, mostly sad cases on the internet, many of whom are after attention and offer anti-intellectual arguments for their extremism. We Atheists, the average non-believers of any title or stripe, we do not seek such things out. We don't want religion and government to mingle, we believe we are all better off letting believers live with their choices and not being dictated to by other believers or by those who lack belief in religion and the supernatural. If you don't break the law then there is no real problem we will have, if you aren't trying to manipulate politics by telling your flock how to vote then we'll respect you are far more.
At the worst, the extreme end of everyday Atheism says you shouldn't be able to have tax free status or that you should earn your status through good deeds. I would be far happier to see the very rich church do more soup kitchens for the homeless and elderly to earn a tax status, and I would love to see the money grabbing cult leaders get jail time or get hit with a big tax bill. If you're a good church ad you help people, do good for goddness sake, nothing would change, but televangelists would suffer a tax bill. This doesn't sound extreme to me.
Now, one thing I wish to bring up is the repeated claim by believing New Age Spiritualists that I want to put them in camps. I have never said I want to, I do not want to, no mainstream atheist says as much, and it wouldn't help to deconvert magical thinking pseudoreligious nutcases anyway. And, for goodness sake can't we have a discussion about the evidence without most believers employing fallacies all the time. I know experience is important to you, as might be stories from others or holy texts, but religious and spiritual people need to know how untrue their evidence claims are. You do not know how deceptive you're being.
Lastly, I just want to make clear that most Atheists are moderate, they enjoy sports, entertainment, raising their families, socialising, comunity, and many other things that you probably enjoy. They just don't buy into the god claim because of the lack of evidence for the claim and many rival claims that are equally as nonfalsiable. So we don't know you're right, we don't know you're wrong either, but that's true of all other gods and magical beings and superadvanced alien beliefs, you can't prove a negative.

paranormal evidence
there doesn't seems to be any, this one of things I tend to express very often, the best we can find is suggestion and poorly conducted tests.

Hypno-Bullshit Wendi the pseudo-expert on "hypnotherapy"
[background audio is quiet in comparison to voice audio, excuse your shock ;)
and I also decided not to edit Penn & Teller clips into this video since it is easy enough for people to go watch the full episode on youtube or netfix or something]
Bullshit Hypnosis - Critical Review Of Wendi.com
Response to a woman called Wendi Friesen, who appeared on P&T Bullshit! - Hypnosis, and appeared on other tv shows a few times, she is one of a growing breed of pseudo-scientists. She is a hypnotherapist who creates CDs and downloads to do that which hypnotherapy just can't seem to do, but because she is making big money she is happy to advertise breast enlargement hypnosis, if you gotta a problem she would have an audio therapy session to help you, help you to give her a big income. In the Penn & Teller episode on hypnotherapy she said her site makes millions, and that show was made over 5 years ago, so how much money is she making now? [I dread to think!]. I chose to critique her works due to her lack of scientific standing and her radical claims, I'm sure she is a nice gal and yet I just can't let such quackery pass without serious criticism, it's not personal, it's just business. I find it interesting how her work covers everything you may need, the claim are great and yet a great deal of loose language means she is covered legally within alternative therapy, and still the great claims draw in millions of people and have made her quite rich.
I personally disagree with people who say they know anything that can't even half prove, and if they make a buck off a cancer victim to make a buck or play on human weaknesses that really annoys me, and that is what wendi does, not just prey on guys with tiny cocks.
she claims to be able to hypnotically cure cancer
http://www.wendi.com/html/cancer.html
and she has a guarantee, where basically she claims if you do what she says you'll get results, but if it's motivation then who needs hypno-bullshit?

Testimonial page is interesting, and proves nothing, considering even Peter Popoff and Benny Hinn, as well as most quacks, have many testimonials.

response to a linked comment.
[the comment]
[my response to the comment]
a
comment left a day ago states 'let he who is without sin, cast the
first stone', firstly that story seems improbable to be historical, even
if it's meaning is moral. the stone cast by myself is to say of Wendi,
that her claims are false, or so far fetched as to be highly probable to
be so. As for my own 'whiter than white' aspect, I am not without
wrongs, past, present, and I would not doubt in my future, yet sin is a
construct invented by religion to enslave generations, feel free to
disagree. To say I must be 'without sin', 'whiter than white', to
'throw mud' is an odd idea, since no one person is perfect, or at least
it is highly improbable, and my going on are only my critique of such
money making pseudo-experts as Wendi and her quackery website. so, if
you please, consent to give humanity more credit, and indeed freedom, to
doubt the unreal and illogical, than to follow and remain faithful to
the peril of quackery and con-artistry. We need not be better or even
brighter than the people we ask questions of, nor do we need to stand as
the meek before all as the inheritors of the earth to call out an
untruth, for it is not a need to be pure to point out some obvious
errors. And I doubt that my audience, or at least most of them, think
that I would be unwilling to retract my points if show scientific
evidence of the claims of Wendi.com.

Consider The Facts - a perspective from a sceptical-atheistic position of reality.
My youtube channel is about trying to work out what is true, i used to mess up, but now I learn far more about what is actually delusion, such as religion and mysticism.
this video has the general narrative of my channel, the point is that things are not what they seems, we can be fooled, and often we are tricked by our perspectives on reality that may make things seems to real that really aren't real at all.

The cure to ignorance is good information, even for conspiracy theorists?
I often speak to a friend who is a very devout JFK conspiracy theorist, he believes in it, he happens to be a big Bill Hicks fan, also a guy with facebook pals who are conspiracy fear monger, not that he believes all he hears. he said he did not want a debate about JFK, my response was fine, But.
The But is 'which way did kennedy's brain matter splatter?'
He wasn't sure, but it was a gotta ya moment, and if you look at the footage the burst of Kennedy's brain material being forward, NOT BACK, is evident of a shot from the rear, not the foreground, not the famed grassy knoll. I know I am far the first skeptic to say this, but most conspiracy theories are hinged on ideas and arguments, not serious facts.
I even joked with another friend, a friend I helped out of New Age last year, that maybe JFK was killed by a cop, who may have been an invisible gun man, since no one noticed.
P.S. I love some of the work of Bill Hicks, but if there is a heaven he is chatting to Kennedy saying are you sure it wasn't a magic bullet.
Bill Hicks on JFK, funny, but some more anarchic mates of mine take this view like it's totally true.
Keep it real, look up the facts, and if it's your cup of tea, go look at Penn & Teller's Bullshit, o the Conspiracy Theories episode they tested out this...
don't run on auto.

the spiritual delusion, a human experience.
It is often said that there is a need to have spirituality to feel whole in your life and who you are,
but is this the case? And who says this? And why? A Few Thoughts.
The deep believer in a spirituality, whether as organised religion or not, like to think THEY are correct in what they have faith in, they have magical thinking from head to toe, they cannot imagine
a life free of god, gods, or whatever superstition they happen to believe in. Now, it's ok to have a faith, and it's ok to think as you will, or say much of what you wish, however, the ignorance of many superstitious people makes them think they are helping by trying to impose a spiritual dimension, whether as a conversion to a belief system or just saying magic is real. I see no reason to subscribe to the ideas of spirituality, after all it's relative to each faith system or style of mystical belief, what is spirituality(?), what is deception(?), that maybe a better question, after all we can all be deceived, after years of magical thinking it's easy to be deceived, by others or yourself. self-deception is a major factor to blind faith, obviously, the deception from others that you want to make your own, they took god into their reality, or whatever other superstition, and it worked for them, due to psychological effects from desiring the change in self, a placebo effect at the very least. Those who feel the that spirituality in whatever form is needed for wholeness have a perspective on life that is delusional, and so-called atheist spirituality is just positive thinking, as are other spiritualities in the end?! I guess it could be best said that spirituality is the search for a truth that feelings good or creates the best results, sadly human nature is irrational, people are easily lead towards unrealistic perspectives and prone to delusion. Sadly, so many people base their understanding on those delusions, and fail to see that it is nonsense, the idea of evil, sin, needing to stay in god's good books, it keeps the delusion largely intact, and the greater the delusion, the greater the need to keep that delusion intact, with yourself and those around you. The preachy, the religious, the spiritual, the new ager, or whatever, they think a life without a delusion, that which they call "spirituality", is not the greater reality which they have, many think at least a person may be spiritual, 'but Atheist!!!' as if being voodoo free makes you less than human? Not that they would usually say this, obviously!
The idea is that if we are human beings we are largely a non-physical beings, and that spiritual stuff is more important because it is not as easily damaged as the finite form, the physical body, they clearly fail to understand that the spiritual component is based on faith (and often subjective experiences), as a result it is not confirmed, and it is far more probable that they are wasting a whole load of their lives on nonsense.

against the desteni cult
over the years I have come across a few cults and their techiques, one of the most unusual is the desteni cult, known as desteni productions on youtube, I came across their work 4 years ago and was very interested in all types of spiritual practice, desteni was not originally my foe, just a strange thing to watch sometimes.
I only became an ally of antidesteni as i studied the cult in early 2010, their theories were of some interest to me and my own spiritual path as a psychic at the time, but thankfully I grew out of that way of life. Their talk of equality was interesting, however a great guy known as "desteni truth" exposed them greatly in his videos on the dark side of the desteni belief, over the next three months I met ten main players in Anti-Desteni, they were not organised, but all thought it best to oppose the cult of desteni.
Althought we are not one organisation, and we do not work together in most ways, through out 2010 over 20 people were engaged in the conflict as desteni flagged vids down and DMCA'd others, silencing their foes,
and this year the same war of anticult verses the desteni cult continues.
Through out 2010 and right up to the present day many more rational people have been speaking up against the desteni control systems, but their false flagging of our vids inspired us to co-operate as never before, and has made us a force which would not be easily defeated, indeed even if removed from youtube we are still legion, we are guardians of free speech for all perspectives, and we will not be stopped from sharing our views on desteni just because they are not the party line.
The "anti desteni movement" is a project organised between a number of AntiDesteni allies, its goal was to make aware a great number of people of the reality of desteni productions, mostly expose them as a cult and not a development group, naturally this was not hard to show as an actuality, and with 0rdoTempliAurora, XfinksX, Istenenergia, FreeSpeech4tw & others on the case with myself RobLesterFilms we have a large base to spread the facts on the desteni cult.
