BAD PSYCHIC? Derek Acorah EXPOSED!!! #badpsychics

Derek Francis "Acorah" Johnson, the famed former main medium of the TV series most haunted, a so-called spirit communicator, trance medium, and TV celebrity, operates around the UK, and in some other parts of the world, making millions by the means of doing psychic cold reading.

He was known for his work on Most Haunted, and that leap in his career made him a well known millionaire medium, ensuring more TV work and dozens of theatre appearances every year.

some of the best of Derek Acorah in a video I edited a few years ago.

you may say I mock the man, but truth is without the religious factor he would have been locked up many years ago, since Spiritualism and New Age are protected as religion, with freedom of religion laws, such frauds and loons are left to practice these trades, the believers act mentally ill, the frauds used to believers to get rich.

this next video was a better longer version exposing Derek Acorah's poor displays.

you may say I have been unfair and selective in this blog and my few videos, you may be partly right, yet it is true his fans do much more selection and dismiss all critiques as closed-mindedness.

another video going over a few key points on Derek's trance work

Testing Psychics With Haunted Box? - RobertWLester

how could I test a psychic?  what do many claim?  the skill to read people and even objects, to commune with spirits and angelic or guardian guiding entities.
so an idea came to mind after seeming so-called haunted objects on ebay and other websites, no evidence is in place, no tests, just stories, hearsay about accidents and other nonsenses.
And out of the ocean of irrationality the thought of using such a box was spawned.

Obviously such memorabilia is costly, so easier to get an old and cheaper box and make up a story, indeed seemingly this is what the sellers of such nonsense actually do, so if I were to use such a box could I fool a psychic or two?

this box is the chosen item for such a pseudo-test, where I may take it to a psychic and get a reading, for less than £35, and get this person to do a reading upon this box.  The box would be noted as haunted by me, and if pressed I will offer more hearsay to the pile, the idea that the previous owners have suffered bad events that range from sleeplessness to a car crash, but these ideas wont be leaked unless they ask leading questions.  The idea is to get them to spin what I seem to believe even though it is fiction, logically cold readers will feed off this hearsay, the true psychic, if they were to exist, would know this is not so, and tell me another story all together.

naturally it is not easy to get thirty minute of a reading on a box, so I'll get information for me too, and in one or two I will act another way, in majority of cases I will be honest, except in the case of the box, which, as previously stated, will be described as haunted and from an ebay seller.

Surely if a person were psychic this would be obviously
not haunted at all.

I have taken it to a psychics who said nothing of it being haunted, but I did not leak the fiction in that case.

it is old, partly restored, and looks the part of an old haunted box.

the story is that previous owners had problems, the details are on my youtube channel, totally fake, but will psychics believe it.
naturally in the trial run of a reading the psychic claimed it was linked to my grandfather after I had already leak this fictional idea, seemingly this psychic and medium was communicating with my grandmother but described her wrong and got almost every detail incorrect.

simply put this project should be interesting and results will be on my youtube channel, shared on twitter and here on this blog.

response to (moronic response girl) KristiThinks on #NoThanksObama

This girl may look OK, but is just another ill-informed girl who needs to think before she makes an ass of herself.

my comment under her video:

This
response girl, Kristi, needs to stop relying on her breasts to get
views and be more impartial to get a bi-partisan agreement that obama
may have gone too far, I think these general strokes from her are
counter-productive and the labelling of the "left" is a cheap trick that
has no research behind it.
One google search and you'll find
there are those on the left in America who are opposed to Obama reforms
in various ways, often on specific points, and also this paradigm of
Left and Right is not helpful to find where agreement can be found, even
more so when Obama is centre right, but centre to centre-left of social
policy.  depending on the policy and which people are behind it.
Obama
is not about Left-wing policies in most cases, most notability economic
ones, although obviously Health-Care issues are centre-left.  The
various administrations over the years, from before Nixon, have been
trying to solve problems in society by great control, don't worry it's
not New World Order, but it is security at the cost of liberty.  If
anything the Obama era will be remembered as the hard road to economic
recovery, and I hope people will also recall the extra powers of the
government that were not relaxed as far as the Patriot Act and other
relating infringements, after all Obama has not corrected a vast amount
of spending on the defence of america, much of that spending is what
boosts the economy.  The spend on Military hardware is something that
america can't cut down on to a great degree without a healthy economy
across the board, small, medium, and large businesses, so a giant drain
on the economy will take place for a long while.  The amnesty on
Immigrants is a way of clearly a lot of baggage that America has been
keeping for many years, where many groups have been working in America,
but not really part of the American system, including taxation, and this
move is a strategic one to pool resources on an immigration control
that is not about trying to deal with a vast number of people, so even
if you don't like it you may be able to understand it as policy.
anyway, I rambled too much, but consider why a thing is done, not why
you don't like the idea of it.

"Psychic" Cold Reading - Testing Psychic Reading - Psychic FAILURE!

Psychic FAILURE!

Psychic Sally Morgan over exposed?

In my last 5 years of criticism of psychics I have come up against many quacks, and one of my favourites is a woman who cut down on the extra pounds with surgery, but how she funded such costly operations was by just chatting to the dead.  How easy it must be, surely ask were they hid their jewels and you need never work again, or if your psychic who not get the lotto numbers on a big roll-over draw, but obvious psychics do not work in this way.  Sally claims to have the loved ones of the living come through from the afterlife to give loving messages of hope to the audiences of large theatres, and out of a room of 1 to 4 thousand people Sally may give ten people messages, what a skill she has!  And considering her shows are mostly her stretching out her work is it any wonder that she gets some serious critics within the psychic industry and the religion of Spiritualism.  Many Spiritualists find Sally in person is not anywhere near as gifted as they see on TV, if they were to accept the TV series,"Sally Morgan on the road", as evidence for an afterlife, then seeing her in person on stage may well rush them towards agnosticism.  A number of close friends of mine and two family members have given good ol' Sal a go, they thought she was very poor, the people seeing her were believers, and still are, and yet the experience shook their faith in some kind of mediumship ability, maybe the skills of Sal are not as advertised.

Maybe it is worth pointing out the fact that Sal has lied on a number of occasions, such as a claim of working with Sir. Bob Geldof, which she had to withdraw from a statement due to Bob's people not taking kindly to this mistaken claim.  There are other such statements and errors made, maybe one of the worst things is the abuse of the idea of princess Diana, after all Sally raised he formerly-chunky form up the Z-list Celebrity ranking by whoring out the idea that she did readings for the Late, Great Lady Diana.  The leap in ol' Sally's career was majority due to a controversial book written about Di coming back from the afterlife to communicate with Psi-Sally, naturally No series revelations were expressed, just the obvious marketing scheme to ensure exposure.  She had a following before, yet after this and other things to launch her Psychic Career, she now has a wide following, millions made in TV deals, travels across the world, meets some quite famous people, and makes good sales on books detailing her experiences, and as a result of this business, which includes regular theatre events, she makes large sums of money.  Even after the blood sucking tax men have their share.

Interesting side note, Sally charges many times more than the normal rate for her readings, yet calls it a gift, I'm not sure if it's irony or hypocrisy, or a more complex breed of bullshit. More recent information from her website confirms she no longer does 1-2-1 readings, well unless your a rich TV star who needs a reading for hundreds of pounds, Sal now advises you got to her website psychics, she has a number of psychics on the pay roll who will supply readings for 1.50p/m, and Sally get a nice cut.  So unless your willing to get a reading in a stage event, which is doubtful, or personally contacts sally or a celebrity who can get you a 1-2-1.  Then you stuck with a bunch of moon lighting dinner-ladies who will serve you up a load of cheap nonsense after serving up another lot of cheapness to your children in a school hall.  I'm kidding, I'm sure they all have a Stanford PhD in spoon bending or something to suggest they aren't just cold readers, except they usually don't have any real qualifications and very few skills.  Speaking of which Sal has been said to have the paranormal by the Stanford institute, the same place which said Uri Gellar was real in the 1970s, and yes they are not part of that famous place of learning by the same name.

The crazy thing with ol' sally is how she claims she never used an ear piece, doing a Peter Popoff, many say being fed information by someone who researches a few audience members to make a few impressive hits to not look to poor at what she does.  Truth is when you buy a trick they have your name and location, typically your address, they can research you, there are specialist programs to grab private data on you, track your activities, and even though costly services these tools can be used and covered by costs.  Sally claimed she did not use an ear piece, clearly in the images capture from the Bio channel she does wear one, a microphone with ear hook on one side, an earpiece with the other ear, but even if there was no earpiece news at all she could do almost as well by just throwing out cold readings.  When you have knowledge prior to the reading it's called Hot Reading, you can avoid the cold reading guesses and just give the researched data in a theatrical way.  Sally seems to do this too well for her own good?  One report from people over in the Republic of Ireland was of a theatre in Dublin, the audience were enjoying the show, but in the second half a window to the rear of the theatre room was left open, a number of people head in another voice the words sally was saying but a moment before her, as if she was being told what to say.  If you dismiss such claims you dismiss the people of Dublin who are real world witnesses to the trickery.  This event and story ballooned into a news media fest, and tabloid trash rags like the daily mail as usual went too far with their edits to make a good selling story, so Sal took the Mail to court, and won a big pay out over £100,000, and other pay outs were settled out of court, total sum may have been much higher.  The problem was not the idea that it could be tricks, it was a technicality on the use of language in a few article headings, including a Mail headline saying "SCAM", this was a bad move maybe pushed by editors who wanted a bigger sell story, and it back fired.  Yet, let us not be told she "never"used an ear piece, nor should we hear that Sally must be real if she beat a tabloid paper in court, and please lets not fall victim to the idea that sceptics are just closed-minded.

The simple truth is there are believers who buy into mediumship and other relating ideas, they are credulous, not idiots, and the fraudsters take advantage, and get rich, they use obvious tricks and can't work in controlled conditions, they call critics closed-minded and say acceptance is open-minded, they say belief and experience is evidence and call science closed-minded for being critical, and to many people what was the religious impulse has a new age.

Consider The Facts - a perspective from a sceptical-atheistic position of reality.

My youtube channel is about trying to work out what is true, i used to mess up, but now I learn far more about what is actually delusion, such as religion and mysticism.

this video has the general narrative of my channel, the point is that things are not what they seems, we can be fooled, and often we are tricked by our perspectives on reality that may make things seems to real that really aren't real at all.

Good Deed Spam

A man does a good deed, he is a muslim, and this deed helps many, and some would say it confirms the good nature of his religion, and indeed the truth that is natural to it.  As it transpires he is not a devout muslim, in fact does not go to mosque, but those who want to hijack good deeds to prop up a failure to provide evidence for faith love to use anything they can.

a fictional story that happens in reality in some form all too often, as the good deeds are done by people and someone wants to use it to prove their belief, as if a good deed prove anything of a belief, religious or not, as being totally true.

The Blackroot Man - The Slender Man

[draft for a fictional story, typed by Robert Lester, inspired from a few myths from my home town.]

My Name is Richard, I was raised in the centre of England, I am a child of the eighties, and a person with some very interesting experiences with an entity you may imagine is purely fictional.  I have spent many years looking into paranormal stories since I had my early experiences, and it was experiences that came to me first, not the folklore that manifested the events I have witnessed.  And even if it were, what library would have had books on Slender, or slander man like creatures, in my city's public libraries or the school library in the late 80s and early 90s.

My childhood was a more or less normal life, I was smart, although not a person who could stay concentrated on my work, not too much of a dreamer, but a quiet student.  I used to walk through a small park, a wooded area not far from my home, it was nicer to walk by nature on the way home, well nicer than a busy main road, next to some private land, on the quicker route.  I would sometimes walk with a friend, although he was sometimes an odd character, speaking of strange beliefs he had, which I ignored, he spoke of Aliens, UFOs, and other stuff that he spiced up with tall tales.

It was on of the days when he was not with me, as I had finished school later due to an after school activity, it was late in the year, the trees were bare, leaves across the cold ground, and I thought I would walk through the small woods even though it was starting to get a little bit dark with the oranges and pinks of the sky as the sun set.  It was this time that I noticed as I walked a shape to my right, a thing that was moving, a dark form, I turned, but nothing was there.  I ignored it and thought the cool breeze and swaying trees were playing a trick upon me.  the woods were only a few minutes to walk across, and since I was somewhat scared, I had a chill going from the top of my neck down my spine.  It was odd almost like the warmth you may feel of a person with their body near yours, but bitter cold, I walked as fast as I could, as soon as I was within 30 feet of the way out, a wide walk way between two houses, I started to run, and as soon as I was at the road which the pathway came to directly, I looked back.  The two houses placed with a gap of 8 feet between them, with the path that came through from the small wood, as directly before me at a quiet, yet not silent road, as I looked back I noticed nothing unusual, it was odd, the breeze as stronger in the woods than it was before or after I had come to it, and yet now it was utterly still.
I dismissed it as a trick of the mind, I was scared, but I had no real Idea why.

Months passed, I only walked through the wood when with a friend, even my slightly quirky one, who seemed to not like going through the woods unless we walked quickly.  I was sceptical about his tall stories, yet I was curious, what with remembering my limited experience in the same place, could he have witnessed something?  on day I asked him, I said "what do you know about the woods?", he seemed surprised, or maybe confused, so I told him that "I think I saw a kind of ghost", he looked at me, in a very still way, and said "don't go there alone, ever".  He refused to say why, and we didn't speak the rest of the way home, it was a silence that was uneasy, and I need not say that we did not walk through the woods that day.

about a month later, I had day off from school for the teachers to have a training day, I was young, but old enough that my mother let me meet local friends, I went for a walk by now it was spring, the trees were coming to life again, green leaves were on the trees, birds singing, I was going out the a larger wooded park that was farther from my home, but much more open.  I recall I had to pass the local woods to go there, I thought there's nothing too it, the warning from my friend who seemed to avoid me for the best part since I asked him about the woods.  I imagined that it was just me walking through after a long day that made me imagine it, or something, and the kid who was my strange friend was just a boy who spent too much time reading spooky stories or watching late night horror movies.  So I walked towards to wood, got to where the pathway is, I could see to the woods, it was fairly still, just as you can imagine on a quiet day, warm, a light breeze, sun high in the sky just a while before midday, so I swallowed my fear and walked in.  I recall no feelings, not chills, nothing, maybe five minutes passed, and I was through the woods.  Maybe my friend was just messing with me, and maybe it was in my head, so I continued to the park, content that there's no things that hide in the woods or just outside of my vision.

It was a nice day, I met a friend soon after I left the park, we chatted for a while at his while playing on his master system, a classic game console of that era, I spent much of the day away from home and it was now about five, in the early evening, and I was tired, after making my farewells I set out for home, going via the street near the woods, not going through it due to the direction I was travelling from.  I came to where the entrance was, the side nearer my home, between the houses, and looked down towards to woods, it was getting dim at the time, if not really dark.  It was at this point that I noticed a shape, it was mostly behind trees, like a side of a man's black coat, and at a distance, as soon as I noticed it it moved, as if even though I only noticed this distant form at about 20 yards distance, and it didn't seem to facing me, it moved as soon as I looked.  This freaked me out a bit, it made my nervous, and I was confused, was this a real person, was it a ghost, and why was it that it wasn't there before, before I could think of answers to the questions rushing in my head my fear got the best of me, I left quickly, rushed home.  When I got home, my Mom asked me if I was OK, she said I looked ill, and to be honest I was feeling a little off colour, after having my evening meal with my mother and sister I went to bad early with a very bad headache, it was an ache that seemed to ring in my ears, and make it impossible to rest, but after a few hours restlessness I got to sleep.
The next day I was feeling fine, I guess all I needed was some rest, odd that I only got ill after going near the woods on the way home, my mom came in, which was odd for her, and she told me it was after midday, I had been asleep for over 14 hours.  It didn't really matter if I over slept, it was Saturday, not a school day, and my mom was probably glad I was looking better after looking so pale the night before, I figured it should just stay away from the woods.

I avoid those woods for nearly six months, I slowly forgot the experiences, and the strange warning from a friend, who had since moved away to another city district, I continued at to enjoy much of school, had a few bad times with bullies, but mostly it wasn't too bad.  It was only when walking from school, that I went my normal route, along the main road, the main road has a fenced off area of private land, it's wooded, and it's owned by the religious college that is housed in the grounds, and I felt like i wanted to look beyond the fence into the forest.  Have you ever felt so compelled to do something it is as if you have no will of your own, if you answered yes then you may understand what I mean, the rushing traffic seemed to have slowed, although not stopped, and I could see deep in the forest a man walking, his clothes were not clear, but they were dark, his face a pure white.  I ran, as this man seemed to know I was there as he slowly turned and vanished, although I was far away and near a main road with many cars passing, I did not feel safe, I got home locked the door and stayed in my room until my mother got home from picking up my little sister from school.  I was still shocked by the idea, and I even told my mom that "I think I saw a ghost", she was very open to the idea, although she didn't know if I had or not, and doubted it, I told her what I saw and she didn't try question it too much, I even drew what I saw to show her.  A week later I was told that I was going to a child councillor, my mother said it was to help me got on better at school, I kept quiet about you know what, and only went once, I think it was my mother thinking I was going nuts, soon she too would see something.

In the mid winter, my mom had been looking after kids at an after school care group, so parents could pick them up later and not have not tailor their work around their children too much.  She would often get a lift from a friend or her boss, and sometimes walk, on this cold dry day she walked from the same direction as my school, along the same main road, and by the same private fenced off forest, she claimed she saw a black shape of a man, the traffic had dropped off to a very few cars, it was 8pm, so not unheard of.  A shape like a man walking slowly in the distance, headed towards her, but she paid little attention, the road had good street lights, as he was within 20 feet of my mother she looked away from the man as she walked, looking back after a split second he was gone, she looked around confused, she saw him, a man in dark clothes, and there was literally nowhere he could have gone, no gaps in the fence towards to private land, the traffic was busy enough that no one could have stopped so her could cross or give him a life, and there was no sign of him for hundreds of feet in ether direction, on this long, straight road.  It was days later that my mom spoke to me about it, she had a book on the table that she was reading, I had come from my grandma's, spending the day being given home made cup cakes, the book I would later learn was from the library, about ghosts and local folklore, she told me that she thinks she saw someone who vanished near where I had seen something.  I'll be honest, I was sceptical, she had kind of betrayed me when I told her, but she was totally serious about her experience.

In we talked about ghosts a few times after that, and myths, my mother who had an interest in psychics seemed to think it was a ghost, I thought that must be it, and it would have remained if not for another experience just under a year later.

I had started my secondary school education, and had new friends, new uniforms, and I was dealing with it in a good way, I had another friend to walk home with, who had not gone to my previous school.  And it was good to travel a bit more, since I had to travel by bus for a while to get to and from school.  All had been well, all the talk about ghosts had been left at the back of my mind, although I would say ghosts existed if you asked me, even told a friend about my experience once, he just made a nervous joke about it, so not very helpful.  I was with my best friend, on the way back home, we got off the bus, we would walk down the main road, and get to our street, however, on this occasion, he wanted to go another route, through the woods.  I was warm in the woods, no wind, yet I felt a chill as soon as we were near, I was OK, perfect until my friend who had got ahead of me turned, as if to say something, but his face turned white as soon as he looked at me.  In that moments he ran as if in utter fear, he wouldn't stop as I ran and tried to tell him to slow down, he just kept running, even after the edge of the woods, until we were nearly him.  He turned, looked right at me, tears running down his shocked and now bright red face, he simply said "there was a man behind you", "a man with no face".

My friend never walked even near those woods again, even by the main road, he would avoid the fenced off forested area, and I just couldn't get more information out of him for weeks.  He avoided me to some degree, rarely spoke to me, he would change direction in mid-step, I eventually got him to talk to me about what he saw, the "man" he saw, although hadn't seen it myself.  It the end of the school day, a gloomy, dry day, we had to travel home, it was only with the last part of the walk he felt he could talk about the man in the woods, he told me he had seen him before at a distance, and that since he had seen him at the corner of his eye more and more often, and that the last two days he hadn't seen him at all.  I found this odd, although I was very interested, we talked about our experiences, and he said he had a book that spoke of shadow people, which are often shadow like forms which seem to follow people, I thought it was a ghost, but this idea of other beings or entities interested me.  It was around this time I started reading with great interest paranormal magazines and books, stuff about aliens and UFOs mostly, ghosts and people who said they talked to the dead, and I eventually got my friend to lend me his book, it was folklore and ghosts stories, and not helpful.  There was a lead referring to the shadow people, children vanishing in forests, and old Scottish myths about faery kind and changelings, interesting though this was I felt this was not really getting near to the truth.

My mother and I hadn't really talked about it much, although she was the one buying a few books for me on the paranormal, she told me she had found a few things out, it turned out she had a book on ghosts of the Midlands, a old and probably barely published book, she gave it to me, and said I should read this.  The book was a mixture of illustrations and notes, old fashioned cartoon like images of ghost horse men, notes about local sites where it is said to be seen, and about two thirds of the way into the book, there he was, an image, a suited man with a white face, and labelled as "The Blackroot Man", named after a small lake in the larger park that is not too far from my home.  The next thing that went through my mind as to ask my mother about it, she old me that she had been told, 20 years before, when she had asked my great-grandmother(her grandmother) about the same story, and was told about the missing children.

My great-grandmother,was born in 1889, a poverty stricken youth, but had lived in the area of the lake for nearly all of her life, she had a friends, the other somewhat poor kids who played in the park and would even swim at blackroot lake, and play hide and seek in the woods.  She had informed my mother of her experience, and stories around the time, she had been hiding behind a tree from a boy call Samuel, who was a son of a priest, a good boy, and she had seen him running up the pathway, she quickly hide behind the tree, and though he must have seen her.  Minutes passed, she wondered where he was, he must have seen her, he was a bit far away, although he seemed to have noticed her, after a while she stepped out from behind the tree, and looked for him, maybe he had gotten lost in the woods.  she looked over the later and saw what looked like a man on the other side of the lake, he was wearing a black or dark grey suit, she couldn't make out his face, and he was very tall, and as she blinked he was gone, at this moment she was shocked as Samuel tagged her.  She, my great-grandmother, asked him where he was, where had he gone to, did he see the man, he claimed it had been moments, and to her it was much longer, Samuel seemed fine, as he had been before, but where had he gone for what felt like half an hour and who was the man.  She informed my mother of this story and added that she told her mother and she asked the priest, who was Samuel's father, and he wasn't sure, but he claimed other children had told him the same thing in recent months, my great-grandmother was told to not go into the woods and to stay near home, and not to ever go deep into the woods.

The rest is a mixture of stories from around the same time, the early 20th century, when my great-grandmother was young, over the years a few children had vanished, one girl who she had known, another from her street, although this was over a decade and thought of as just children running away or something by the locals, it wasn't until a few years later that a rich families child vanished after he said he had seen a tall man in the woods that the lore became accepted.  however, he root of the ghost stories comes from somewhat wealthy men who would often go fishing, they would spend hours catching and releasing fish, back in the 1930s and 40s, and they would often see at the opposite side of the lake, at the tree line a shape like a man, a tall, dark man, some even claimed he was over seven feet tall, others claimed if you got close to him he would have an utterly blank face.  This was mostly around the small lake called Blackroot, soon people would refer to him as the Blackroot man, stories say that he was often seen near children, watching fishermen, and was characterised as a tall man with no face.  although the ghost stories were harmless fun, and distorted by different people, the true accounts lost, and was for a long time local ghost story, now lost to antiquity, and a few old book on local ghosts, but reports of him continued.  Throughout the early 20th century a few child children would vanished every two years, most never found, and in WW2 he was seem near bomb sites, and one person even claimed that when they tried to approach him to ask him why was here he passed out before getting within twenty feet of the man.  Mostly this kind of story died off after word war 2, people would be called mad to speak of such things, or at very least no one would both writing it down, and this was why my Great-Grandmother gave this book to my mother, so people do not forget.

My mother said she had asked a few people about these stories over the years, and the only things that remain as barely remembered ghost tales, and it seems that even though some children said they saw the blackroot man that people ignored the maybe link, writing off the connection as invalid because the blackroot man was just a legend.  It turned out my mother had done some more serious research at the city library after she and I had had our experiences, and she found that this kind of thing happens elsewhere too, the same characteristics but different places and times.

Abusive Criminal Cult Leader - Godman Guru Asaram Bapu

gurus come in many form, some are good enough, not much more of an issue than any other religious leader, yet time and time again they seem to get a bit power crazed.

The cure to ignorance is good information, even for conspiracy theorists?

I often speak to a friend who is a very devout JFK conspiracy theorist, he believes in it, he happens to be a big Bill Hicks fan, also a guy with facebook pals who are conspiracy fear monger, not that he believes all he hears.  he said he did not want a debate about JFK, my response was fine, But.
The But is 'which way did kennedy's brain matter splatter?'

He wasn't sure, but it was a gotta ya moment, and if you look at the footage the burst of Kennedy's brain material being forward, NOT BACK, is evident of a shot from the rear, not the foreground, not the famed grassy knoll.  I know I am far the first skeptic to say this, but most conspiracy theories are hinged on ideas and arguments, not serious facts.
I even joked with another friend, a friend I helped out of New Age last year, that maybe JFK was killed by a cop, who may have been an invisible gun man, since no one noticed.

P.S. I love some of the work of Bill Hicks, but if there is a heaven he is chatting to Kennedy saying are you sure it wasn't a magic bullet.

Bill Hicks on JFK, funny, but some more anarchic mates of mine take this view like it's totally true.

Keep it real, look up the facts, and if it's your cup of tea, go look at Penn & Teller's Bullshit, o the Conspiracy Theories episode they tested out this...

Ban anything that scares you? Bossy Femo-nazi, N-word, UKIP, Gay, Retarded

battle ignorance by teaching people the facts, don't take the easy route and trying banning things when it probably isn't enough, and may help, but not as much as education.

we have a great culture in some ways, diverse, open to new ideas, even if a few moans are the constant theme of this not quite utopian present, and some want to push an agenda.  Throughout our history, this nation has had various groups out to be heard or make a mark, to paint a portrait on a corner of society, and this has allowed great leaps, such a feminist leaps in fighting for equal rights, yet we hear from time to time far more than a sane expression of ideas.  I am referring to those who think it solve an issue, an imbalance in rights and social issues, the best method, or easiest, is to ban words, if offended by the term 'miss', so then rally the activist army, and try to shut down the use of the term.
Sadly, such ideas are not always useful, the banning of a word I need not even type to refer to black people, and I need not refer to as the "N-word", it has been of use, sure, right on, we all now think the word 'nigger' when ever someone says 'N-word', and even me typing it once on a blog scares the shit out of google.  Words don't always cause offence, even the word I referred to, after all in black culture it is often used, and so its about context, plus if you have friends who use the word they may use it when talking to you, or even more oddly to say your a nigger, maybe the mould of politically corrected language is broken at the edges, or maybe some assholes are seriously over the top?!

A recently issue that come up, recent as in earlier this year, was some well known celebrities talking about the word 'bossy', with their hashtag '#banbossy', and like banning a word would change minds a lot of impulse cattle jumped on that bandwagon.  Imagine your a young women called bossy, and it put you off doing more in your life, lowers motivation, we can agree that's a shame, yet is it wise to ban words, or maybe educate people, even children, that women can lead too?!  If we are able to deal with the issue then change it done, if we start banning words in cases such as this then guess what, some one will use another word, a new word maybe, or just leave a "bossy" girls out of the social group.  Banning bossy is like changing torture to intensive interrogation methods, the meaning is still there when you water-board someone but at least it sounds nicer when someone speak of
interrogations than torturing someone, words change and the issue can remain, nice words don't cover well hard facts.  I'm off point, oh well, happens to me a lot.   The issue is a changing of language used does not cut the root of the problem, you trim the branches and think the tree will change, but these are deeply rooted and high grown forests, not a single bonsai.

I am often a little to the left of politics, I'm not married to a party, unlike many people, like a life long Labour voter, or the ever belonged Liberal Democrat, yet I am annoyed by those who jump to conclusions, they give a hand to a right-wing nut by being far from sceptical.  I one recent case, the election for the EU parliament, the issues around UKIP, not totally the same as banning, using a number of selected issues to call all the worse case, namely racist, when it actual fact most probably aren't, just most can seem pro-bigotry, it's an important distinction.  I don't need to support UKIP to say this, in fact I wont vote for that party, probably ever, but it has to be said the easy dismissal of calling them racist turned into an own goal for the politicians and the media alike.  It is worth pointing out that the previous "new fourth party", the BNP, was hit by the same media stories and was openly racist and thus easily defeated by cheap news media responses that just were not as effective on UKIP.  It turns out that just calling a party that is anti-immigration racist is the cheapest trick, that now many people wouldn't believe, even if UK Independence Party renamed itself the UK Fascist League.  Some people try to ban groups of this kind, BNP, UKIP, and activist groups that are no better, like the EDL, however we should remember once you ban them they just start a new group with a new name and leader, as well a few Muslim Extremist groups in the UK in recent years.

this picture does not relate, but looks rude and a bit funny.

When someone says a word is so bad as to be banned, they had best have good reasons to say ban it even in context, another recent example is the way the term 'gay' is used to say dumb or silly, or something to that effect, much like 'retard', or retarded, was used in this way.  So some people get offended that a word that has many dimensions is used in a context void of other contextual meaning and thus want to cut it away to be used in their chosen realm.  This is the real point, how it breaks down, context, and other context situations that may swing to offence on one front and just same ol' on the other side, really simple to see how teaching differences, and that can include a wider vocabulary, will solve this word wars.

Bottom line, informing people about issues works better than banning words or ideas.

New Age ATLANTIS NEVER EXISTED - a few thoughts

All the evidence as we know is that not place called by that name or fits the legends/myths ever existed, so as an Atheist has a lack of belief in a god, I would be "Aatlantist"?!?!

The roots of myths, a starting point that fits somewhat a tale is not proof for any of the claims other than similarity, sadly New Agers can't seem to understand that point, to them if Minoa was the root of Atlantian legends then it proves Atlantis and what their spirit guides were right.  facepalm.

The best evidence for a lost cultures, some on islands, is not evidence for the esoteric myths made up by mystics who thought they were channelling ancient beings who knew about this lost civilisation.
The facts pan out the logic that the Atlantian myth of a vast land mass that sank is simply nonsense, the fact the experts seem to disagree says a lot, the fact that some say south on India, some say east of America, others say Antarctica, and NONE of them have provided scientific evidence for such reasons to assume ancient Egyptians heard of them to pass on to the Greeks as legends that were possibility translated very poorly, and seem to speak of one or more smaller disasters in the eastern Mediterranean.

So in my humble way, I only wish to add, in this short blog, which made be extended, that if a New Age Atlantis had existed it is not evident, and it's legend is based on the Culture of New Age and Not the facts of Archaeology or any discipline regarding the possible history of an Atlantis-like civilisation or land-mass.

I have know James on youtube for a number of years, almost always agreed, and his insights in refuting irrationally is of great usefulness.

I'm a gamer, not anti-feminist, but thunderf00t's video is worth adding here to express how dishonesty is poison, and damages serious mainstream feminism and equality activism in general.

Eckhart Tolle is a cult leader? or a poet with issues?

Well, not all that much of a cult leader...

Where else may you find the traits we see in cult devotion, where could we find such treats of nonsensical reasoning, one such place is a mental landscape in which an aloof guru may ply a trade in platitudes for a more than generous profit.  One such Guru is Eckhart Tolle.

The Guru find him or her self as a poetic speaker of little intellectual note, a person who can carry hearts on wings of philosophy, inspirations that offer flight to the imagination, yet as to their truth, the factors by which we judge, an absence of foundation.  By my words, I need only express a gentle breeze to may the branches sway, and so be as a guru, and to offer a reality beyond a sense of wonder is another realm altogether, since hopes and feeling are not guide posts to a reality that seems to have not been made for our comfort or pleasure.

How else may a man stand as a voice of reason other than a man of truth?
A: by talk to those who may not know better, or can be converted by the sales pitch rather than the broader principles and knowledge.

Can an answer come from a person who has learned to say the right things?
Can truth come from the desire to be enlightened?
Can we find reason in unreason, and unreason in reason, and nothing is total, no absolutes?
Are we looking at a few ideas of truth that are quite general and those draw you in, and at the same time other things that are mostly meaningless are accepted as true, as part of the package?

The Cult, is a culture, a belief in a poetic former depressive, who got over a back patch in his life, created his own religion that gave him purpose, this faith in a neutral idea "Now", is a construct that can be used like the term "god", "infinity", or anything, to offer scope to one's hope as lenses to a telescope.  Magical words gather magical thinkers, those who wish on a star, but the stars are not able to give them liberation.  To create an idea and pass it on as truth, the great wisdom, that which offers liberation, freedom from a self-manifested sense of not being whole or happy, or directed, to be free by belief of responsibility, and the only liberation is in your mind, and if you just get real you can reach it regardless of New Age daydreams.

The followers in chains they make, and labour is not really required, just a neo-theology of simple ways that don't make my sense of pressure rise, to avoid stress by simplifying the way you perceive reality, but it is not reality that is moved, it is you alone.  The revelation to you seems great, and you seem to take on great ideas, yet the feeling does not last, the placebo passes by, and you must try again, re-read, buy a new book, practice the system to gain personal power Now, maybe go to a lecture, try to re-spark interesting and the sense of reality.  In most cases this fails, some move on to new and great gurus, from 'The Power Of Now' to a different cult of faith, 'The Secret' and power of attraction maybe?  It is easier to find peace, and many of us are busy finding those who offer promises instead, but hey, it works somewhat, and if you lose you high and quit the belief it's your fault?!

If only people knew they need not be servants to beliefs, if they just pause and consider for a few moments, slow their thoughts, and the fog clears, that is all they need do.  Maybe easier said than done?  It is worth considering philosophy, how your world can be meaningful even if seemingly less than perfection, and why not read a book like The Power Of Now, and remind yourself the worlds just offer and excuse to do what you know you need, or want, to do, it is just more than you doing more than dwelling in a rut.

In all fairness Eckhart is not a cult leader, just a man who makes easy money on simple ideas, ideas so limited a child could do it, a system that simply says think calmly and do what you really should sort out for your self-betterment.

I have found, as have many of you, that reading any good book, a novel, maybe, will help you step away from stress and person problems, and so you may as well read the hobbit or harry potter to step away from your issues, you need not find a wondrous solution, just a way to step from stress and allow yourself to get a grip on your life.  It's not as easy as a new religion of "Now", but it's worth more to you to find real self-value beyond a construct that is based on devotion to a blindly positive belief.

Excuse my ramble if you found it a bit incoherent, I just had an inspiration while working on a video project, and though I could share it, see what people reckon, and I do see Eckhart's Teachings are a new extra-soft religious teaching, like if you got a holy book and cut out all the bad stuff, it would sound good, but good does not mean it's true.

why do mild videos get taken down? [since this blog it has be reinstated]

my video that was false DMCA'd is on another channel and will be back soon

now this is very clear, mild mannered, fair, and even critical of eckhart tolle's critics, such as crazy fundies, so what was the reason for it to be taken down by a copyright notice?

maybe his neo-lama-ness had an issue with showing on the video the price tag for his spiritual truths? as in the fact that it costs a bomb to buy into a retreat?

the message is easy to understand, and it's that they get flag happy on content that is critical, considering others who support eckhart and mirror videos of his get no copyright claims against then, connection?

so yes, i have to get a bit vendetta on Eckhart's ass, but it's worth doing for the sake of free speech.

reality bites if you try to fcuk with my liberties!

Ackhart Tolle' Power is Now my own! False DMCA-er on behalf of Eckhart Tolle hits Robertwlester Video 14th july 2014

so I made a mild mannered video on the spiritual teacher called Eckhart, this I will show you, but presently it is not viewable due to a false copyright claim, and on my birthday, july 14th, what a pisser ;)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T64nQsvMrT8

so the claim against me was i used material that was copyrighted and so a claim was thrust upon me, yet the elementary error was to assume that any material no matter how small was worth filing a copyright claim over, and obviously the fact that my video had the exposure of Eckhart's teachings are a cheap philosophy freak show had no baring. ;)  I could have simply quit the debate of fair use by not doing a new video or not countering the claim, but instead I chose to stand up for the right to criticise and use limited material under fair use, so where's my medal? ;)

don't get me wrong, i do not want flame wars like i had in 2010-2012 with selfhelp false flaggers and false dmca-ers, but if you bring it to the party then expect responses.

Extremism being criticised by UK Muslims is good?

so many UK Muslims have been radicalised beyond usual levels within Islam, some by extremist preachers who may be in the UK for one reason, dominion, and others, probably most, by internet radicalization.  How many in all, no one can be 100% sure, many are fooled by half truths, selected arguments, arguments from authority, which guides them to do crazy things, like go to war in a war they know little about and may become stuck in, unless they die first.  Sadly it's easy for some Muslim preachers to radicalise young men to stand against the foe, the enemy at the gates, these internet extremists and those who radicalise young men in some UK mosques are cult leaders, but the traditions of Islam make calling them out a very dangerous move and not part of the faith in most cases.

Thankfully some UK Muslims do speak out, and Imams are speaking out too, letting the Muslim community hear a sane voice, and letting us all know that we are not dealing with silence that may as well be silent agreement with extremists.

Sadly, I large percentage of Muslims are conspiracy theorists, they watch the videos I criticise, the crazy ones that say Satan rules the earth, and unlike me they don't laugh at them, no wonder when Imams often remind Muslims of god's laws, Satanic deceptions all around us, and many other aspects that the extremists have used to turn Muslims away from integration and liberalisation of their communities.  I don't like to be the one who rain on this parade, but you have to admit this issue is much larger than two sides, many poor Muslims may feel an axe to grind against the man, much as many black people have in the past, but if someone tells you the man to hate then it's gone from frustration to irrational hatred.

So it is good to agree that Muslim Criticism of Muslim extremism is helpful, but this issue goes deep into Muslim communities and the religion of Islam.

Ancient Astronauts were horny aliens?

if we have learnt anything from ancient aliens TV series and a great many books on the ancient astronaut theory, it is the aliens could have used scientific means to breed with humans, but if they special evidence of the bible and other ancient texts are acceptd it was probably good old FUCKING.
so much more super advanced beings from beyond the realm of man and our animal ways, these guys who were may giants in some cases like taking the young ladies for sexual joy, or the ancient alien TV series was wrong, and it non-skeptic ranks of experts were full of crap, and the fact there is not evidence other than stories and hearsay for any aliens coming to earth it's just evident to most people that myths from ancient cultures were probably just that, or so far from the reality as to make them useless.

The reason why so many use the idea of sex between aliens and human girls is because the Torah, as with some other holy books, speak of Nephilim/Nefilim who were giant and bred with human women, legend says they were fathered by sons of god(s) or (fallen)angels, opinions differ in different faiths, and the daughters of men.  This obviously does not fit well with Aliens, the easy job of goal post moving is to debunk an obvious improbable idea, like angels and gods, and add in more finite forms like aliens, who would have evolved like us, and came to earth to for various sane reasons, it doesn't make it true, the virtue of being more probable than other stories is not enough.

In fact the best argument, the most rational, based on the facts, is ancient people had myths and the Ancient astronaut theorists are liars who have been debunked time and time again for their inability to provide proof or to wikipedia most of their claims, since most are obvious deception for selling their poorly written books.

and if Aliens came to earth they had more on their mind than where is the nearest female, odds are that aliens would not look like us anyway or be able to have sex at all.
